We feed Life's abundance small breed puppy. This is essential and should be purchased through our site prior to bringing your pup home.
Only available through their website, consider setting up an auto ship so you never run out.
Please click the red link below or go to www.lifesabundance.com/dmvpups so we can track purchases.
We encourage crate training!
We love the frisco brand wire crates with included divider to move as your baby grows! The medium 30" crates will work for puppies all the way to adults.
Purchased at chewy.com
Every puppy needs and loves to have their own toys! Great for encouraging play with their very own stuff.
We use frisco brand 30" excercise pens to create enclosed safe areas for our pups inside and outside!
The 30" is suitable for up to 5 or 6months, but if you wish to use it longer, I recommend going taller. They also make great baby gates too.
Purchased from chewy.
Incase you want to continue using the litter box.
I strongly recommend keeping a litter box with shallow sides(4inches) available to them til atleast 4 months of age. Please see the litter box and pen setup page as well!
Purchased from Chewy.com
We use pine pellets in our litter boxes.
Any brand will do - but we have found this brand sold at tractor supply to be the most cost effective at $5.99 for a 40lbs. Bag.
They definitely need something comfy in their crates!
Ofcourse you can get any style of bed you want...but we have found the Frisco Quilted Orthopedic Pillow Cat & Dog Bed w/Removable Cover, Blue, 30-in(pictured on top) are an excellent buy. It retains thickness and the cover has held up to many washes.
Again, purchased at chewy.com (I cant help it, I love chewy but am beginning to think they owe me! 🤣)
I have not tried them with the crate divider in and imagine it would be too big, so may want to go with something smaller initially.
Then blankies are always appreciated! Any kind will do, we like to get the cheap fleece blankets sold in walmart stores.
Stainless steel dishes with rubber non skid bottoms
Please use harnesses when walking your pup! Collars can restrict airways and make it more difficult for a flat faced breed to breath. It's best to wait and see your pup before purchasing to help get an idea of sizing. Typically around 8weeks old, they fit a cat sized harness.
Purely for looks(because there is so many stinking cute options!!) and identification , please do not use a collar when walking your baby. At 8weeks, pups typically fit the 8 to 12inch kitten collars. Jingle bells are awesome to keep track of pup if they sneak behind furniture or take off under a bed!
